It was last year that Swedish development team DICE revealed the next shipment of maps that will be arriving to the ongoing Battlefield V in the coming months riding along the edge of the Pacific. First with the addition of Iwo Jima and the later release of Wake Island in December, the next setting on the Pacific coast is scheduled to release next week.
Revealing the newest location of the Solomon Islands: another tropical map with a darker tone to previous entries. Ranging from the branching riverbends to scattered bunkers that you will run across is a different approach to design associated with Battlefield. Battlefield V Community Manager Adam Freeman clarifies that this new location emphasizes on close-quarter combat as the player will feel claustrophobic from the enclosing map’s topography.
Dividing the battle between the U.S. Forces and Imperial Japanese is said to be best experience when sampling through the different game modes, most noted with Breakthrough. While the native opposition can use the region to their advantage to hide and defend from their position, the attacking forces from the coast are open to a list of different opportunities to tackle the defending side.
Of course, there will be new additional weapons that players can expect to see in the newest title update, which you can read in full below:
- Lunge Mine
- M1A1 Bazooka
- M2 Carbine
- Model 37 shotgun
- Type 11 LMG
Launching with Solomon Islands is the next addition to the roster of Elites with Misaki Yamashiro who you will unlock when approaching chapter rank 40 for Into The jungle. The young soldier when enter battle can do some real damage with her iconic machete resting in her hand. Following with the Knuckle Duster-holding Steve Fisher and Control Stick-wielding Akira Sakamoto to drop later on in the course of the new chapter.
