Showcase For PlayStation 5 Might Be In The Coming Weeks, Insider Elaborates On

The pot that is discussion for the next-generation of video consoles continues to stir as we ease into the second half of 2020. While we are just a day away from entering May, fresh information on the new platforms continues to unravel despite how close we really are to the systems releasing. According to Jason Schreier, acknowledged industry insider, he reports that details on PlayStation 5 is still weeks away.

Coming from the announcement that was made just moments earlier today, Microsoft reveals that the next Inside Xbox will showcase upcoming third-party entries for the new console. Schreier in response to the announcement was questioned on the matters of Sony’s flagship system, where he responds that it is still quite a while away.

“Few more weeks I believe,” the Bloomberg Tech contributor tells on Twitter. This happens to go on an account of other reports that corroborate Sony’s plans for the coming future. While Microsoft is currently the frontrunner of new information on the new generation for gaming systems, Sony has been hesitant on the subject to reveal finer details on the PlayStation 5. We have seen this with a previous statement clarifying to wait on Microsoft’s behalf before revealing more on the new hardware.

When speaking with Bloomberg earlier in April, Sony disclosed to be potentially going ahead with a press release for the PlayStation 5. Attributes for the new console to be revealed lists elements such as pricing, release, and perhaps a look at the new system itself since that has yet to be shared officially.

In a following report, Niko Partners’ Analyst David Ahmad has served an ounce of speculation to suspect that information on the new consoles has been ushered to take the spotlight sooner due to the ongoing epidemic rooted by COVIS-19. He already proves to be accurate with his prediction with Xbox, and now the claim corroborates with what Schreier has heard from the grapevine. Now it is just a matter of when the firm decides to properly showcase the coming system.
