Keys are single-use, consumable items required to unlock restricted doors, rooms, and hidden containers in Arc Raiders. Key rooms are spread across maps like the Dam Battlegrounds, Spaceport, and Buried City.
Store the key in your safe pocket before entering a raid so you don’t lose it on death. Use the key when you’re prepared to loot fast and exit. Night raids make the keys more valuable because interior loot tends to roll higher tier.
What Are Keys & Where To Use
Keys in Arc Raiders are the loot items that you obtain during the raid. They are most commonly located in Research & Administration buildings. You have to search every container, drawer, loot crates, and other raiders’ inventory to find them. Each key unlocks a specific door inside the building that leads you to secret higher-tier loot items.
Some of the locked doors are also hiding the extraction points, making the key essential to obtain them in the first place. Keys should be stored in the Safe Pocket or protected using the Safekeeper augment.
This is useful because if you don’t lose the acquired key. Keys are most effective during night raids, as the best loot becomes active then. Some keys can be obtained by completing the specific quests in Arc Raiders.
Raider Hatch is the most common key you can obtain either by looting, crafting, or purchasing from the Shani. Once the keys are used, they are gone. Use the key to unlock locked doors, bunkers, special rooms, loot caches, and extraction points that are otherwise inaccessible. Loot the raider enemy that you just defeated, as there’s a chance that they have these keys.
All Keys and Key Rooms in Arc Raiders
Most keys don’t spawn in one exact fixed spot, but they drop randomly. Search the desks, cabinets, and lockers in residential buildings. Research & administrative buildings have multiple loot spots and key drops.
Places like control towers, office spaces, and administrative rooms are worth searching for the keys. Ruby Residence, Control Tower, and Research buildings in Dam Battlegrounds have more keys if you search thoroughly. Do night raids to get your hands on the rare keys.
