Developer Embark Studios and publisher Nexon announced that its popular extraction shooter, Arc Raiders, has now sold 14 million copies to date. This is since its October 30th launch when the game released on PC via Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
The studio shared that the game had a peak of 960,000 concurrent users in January. Arc Raiders also averages 6 million weekly active users.
This news comes from the Q4 2025 Investor Presentation from the publisher, sharing information on its other games as well. The Arc Raiders segment mentions that it “Expects to sustain strong player engagement and sales momentum with monthly content drops and live events.”
It was only in January that Arc Raiders reached 12 million players total, and clearly, since then, it has grown even stronger.
In other news, Highguard developer Wildlight Entertainment announced major layoffs for the studio just two weeks after releasing their first game. The free-to-play title had high expectations going into its release, with hopes it could reach high levels.
Extraction shooters look to be the new trend in gaming, and in just a few weeks, Bungie Studios will be releasing Marathon that will enter the conversation.
