You will get the Straight Record quest from Celeste from the traders tab. The main objective of this mission is to reach the Victory Ridge and interact with an old EMP Trap device. Disable three power switches scattered nearby and return to the EMP device and shut it down. The quest does not require you to extract, so you can treat it as a short mission. The area around the EMP and switches may have Arc enemies and drones.
Using the map’s terrain features, such as cliffs, debris, and wires, helps you quickly orient yourself. After completing Straight Record, you can either extract immediately or loot more if your team is safe. Consider using a free load-out to avoid losing high-value gear in the event of an attack. Straight Record Quest Walkthrough
Below are all the objectives for the Straight Record quest in Arc Raiders.
- Reach Victory Ridge
- Find the old EMP Trap
- Disable the first power switch

For Straight Record, you must first reach Victory Ridge. This is in the northwest part of the Dam Battlegrounds map. Find the corner of the road that lies between West Broken Bridge and Ruby Residence. The rock formation surrounds the EMP device.
Walk up to the EMP trap, which looks like a Tesla Tower, and investigate it. After doing so, you have to disable three different power sources. However, they have to be done in order.
The first one is a little bit north of the EMP trap. Locate the second generator from here and deactivate it. For the third generator, it will be a little bit south of the EMP trap, which you will then want to interact with. Go back to the EMP trap and investigate it one last time to close it off. Make sure to disable all three batteries before turning off the EMP.
- First Power Source- Uphill from EMP Trap. Circle the cliff to find the switch interaction
- Second Power Source- Right of the EMP Trap. Climb onto the debris or the generator top to reach it.
- Third Power Source- Downhill from the EMP Trap. Follow the wires.
1. First Battery
The first power switch is located in the north of the EMP trap on a ridge. Turn right halfway up the slope after climbing up the hill. Locate the small battery unit near the cliff edge. Power it down by simply interacting with it. You can easily see the switch glowing yellow on the top if you approach from the south.
2. Second Battery
The second power switch is on the east of the EMP trap, on the second level of the abandoned red building. Make sure to find the metallic hut on the left side. Climb up the upper platform using the breachable power box. Approach the second power switch to turn it off.
3. Third Battery
Make your way to the south of the EMP Trap to locate the third power switch. Continue following the power cable in the ground. Doing so allows you to move away from the clearing. Find the small electrical shaft and cable going to the south side. Turn off the battery by interacting with it.
4. How to Shut Down the EMP Trap
Move all the way back to the EMP Trap after turning off all three power switches. Once you approach it, you will get a new prompt, “Turn Off”. Cut down the power by simply interacting with the device. Doing so allows you to complete the Straight Record quest in Arc Raiders. I recommend going off and looting and fighting if you finish fast.
