This Sunday brought us the Xbox + Bethesda Showcase and with it came some pretty bombastic reveals. Over from the Japanese region, we learned that Sega & Atlus are shipping Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royal to Xbox starting this fall. Additionally, a new partnership with Kojima Productions has formed for the Xbox Cloud Gaming platform as well from the presentation.
Other tame reveals includes the upcoming 2D, 16th century narrative from Obsidian Entertainment – Pentiment. However, another anticipated story-driven experience was also showcased this weekend. If you recall from 2021’s Xbox presentation, you might recall As Dusk Falls from developer Interior/Night. Well, the game is launching just over a month away.
Yup, the new narrative is slated to release this July and will be launching day one on Xbox Game Pass. You can watch the release date trailer in the video below:
“This cinematic story is brought to life by the performance of actors that are digitally rendered into a beautiful art style, creating a unique experience that plays like a motion graphic novel, says Kelly Lombardi, As Dusk Falls Product Marketing Manager. “In As Dusk Falls you’ll have agency over the lives of relatable, far from perfect human beings, inviting you to empathize with their real-life struggles and aspirations.”
“As Dusk Falls has been eight years in the making for CEO and Creative Director at Interior/Night Caroline Marchal. Her goal was to create a deep interactive experience for all levels of players, something meant to be shared with loved ones. Inspired by prestige TV shows, Interior/Night’s debut game is an uncompromising tale of family, resilience, and sacrifice.”
Are you planning to jump into As Dusk Falls next month?
As Dusk Falls ships July 19, 2022 for Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
