It is no secret now that EA is planning to officially reveal Battlefield 6 in over a week from now. It has been reported that a 3-day event will be taking place from July 29 to July 31, similar to a COD NEXT event. The reveal for the game will be on July 31, and it’s expected that an open beta will be going live around then.
It was discovered by Reddit user, Fidler_2K, that the EA App has indicated the Battlefield 6 beta build publication date is set for August 4th. The API also says there will be an “early open beta access,” which could mean pre-orders will open very soon, and those who pre-order will get access to the beta first.
Yesterday, EA confirmed there will be an Open Beta for Battlefield 6 by stating the following: starting at Open Beta, Players can choose official playlists with Signature Weapons locked to class, or not.
Open Weapons vs Closed Weapons

Why not both?
Starting at Open Beta players can choose official playlists with Signature Weapons locked to class, or not.
More to come.
Battlefield 6 is going to be the official name of the next title in the series. This was confirmed already based on the care packages that content creators received recently. The game is developed by Battlefield Studios, which is a combination of a bunch of other talents around EA and is led by Vince Zampella.
The release for the next mainline Battlefield game is expected to be by April 1, 2026, EA confirmed.
