During the Xbox Developer Direct today, Game Freak showcased Beast of Reincarnation and announced it will be released in Summer 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series, Xbox, and PC. It will also release day one on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and is an Xbox Play Anywhere title.
The developer provided a more detailed look at Emma and her companion Koo’s adventure in a post-apocalyptic Japan. Emma has been afflicted by “blight,” which has removed her memories and emotions, but given her the ability to manipulate plants, and led her to meet Koo, a dog that’s become a “malefact.” Emma’s role is to hunt down malefacts, but she forms an unusual bond with Koo, setting her off on a journey through Japan circa 4026 AD.
