The notorious reputation Fallout 76 has earned since the game released back in November of last year has been an issue that set Bethesda back quite a bit and the studio have been working constantly to undo the damage that came with the multiplayer-focused title as we entered 2019. As we already saw how the company outlined upcoming content for the game throughout the course of the new year along with biweekly patches/fixes that will drop for 76, it seemed that greener pastures could possibly be on the horizon for the title.
Recently, Bethesda has introduced its first non-cosmetic item to the game’s Atom Store which resulted with undoing a lot of the good that kicked off for the game’s attempt towards meeting the expectation initially promised to those anticipating from the game prior to its launch.
Though the newest addition isn’t a direct pay-to-win exactly, it does however remove the effort to work towards crafting repair kits since the option to just buy them is a more effective alternative for those who want the extra edge. Many fans becoming very vocal about the recent decision of adding the item to the Atom Shop and, resulting with the thread that revealed the news to be shrink down to one individual thread.
One user on the thread sharing Bethesda’s take on the situation to be more troubling since most of the mods soon after went silent: which is unlike them seeing how active they have been leading up to this point.
“I am surprised BGS has been totally silent on this. Considering how engaged the community managers have been in this sub, particularly since they began the steady patch cadence,” user LordPaptacular shares in the thread. “I find that really troubling. It tells me BGS *still* isn’t committed to transparent communication with the community, despite its many similar mistakes it has made along these lines. This controversy is as much a marketing problem as it is a business problem.”
