With Call of Duty getting plenty attention for their representation of the Battle Royale game mode, many are interested to see how Treyarch plans to stand out in gameplay and the upcoming map. Already knowing yesterday that zombies will making an appearance in Blackout, it was revealed today what the new map will have in store for those who plan to play.
On the game’s official Twitter, the map was debuted featuring fan favorite maps from the first three installments in the Black Ops series, and compiled into one map. Stated in the tweet as “the largest map in Call of Duty history”.

Though we already know before that the map was going to be a combination of maps, we didn’t know what maps would be making an appearance in the final version. As we reach the final version in October, it is possible to see more idolized locations from the Black Ops franchise when the game is officially released. As maps like Array and Firing Range are littered around the map, there are some general areas that fill up the map like Estates that isn’t an specific map from prior games.
For how the map will play out in the upcoming beta, it will differ when compared to competing titles such as PUBG for there only being 80 players for the soon approaching beta. Or even Battlefield V as the game will even feature the lesser 64 player matches. As the studio head said before, this is to give a less congested experience when players get their hands on the beta. But that could change how the new mode gets received.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is set to launch on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on October 12, 2018.
