The future ahead of Blizzard Entertainment has shifted since its arrangement to be acquired by Microsoft. Soon after the deal went through, layoffs hit the publisher; enough that its new unnamed IP was canned altogether. But, that did not affect operations towards its current established franchises. It instead rolled out new remasters that came out recently.
This was already announced for StarCraft & StarCraft II which arrived this month. Not to mention, Blizzard Entertainment also bridged a new crossover even with World of Warcraft which now crosses paths with Overwatch 2 as well. Previously, we saw the series revisited with World of Warcraft: Classic which shipped years prior.
Now the fundamental RTS Warcraft is now part of that same conversation. Celebrating the 30th anniversary for the series, Blizzard Entertainment reveals Warcraft: Remastered & Warcraft II: Remastered. Additionally, there’s a new ‘Warcraft Remastered Battle Chest’ bundle which includes both games and Warcraft III: Reforged. You can watch the new trailer in the video below:
