The time has finally come after almost an entire year, publisher Activision and developer Raven Software have announced that the stand-alone version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will be coming to the Xbox One on July 27th, 2017.
The Xbox One edition comes with the entire Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare campaign, fully remastered for modern (no pun intended) consoles. The game also includes remastered versions of the original sixteen multiplayer maps. The Variety Map Pack, which comes with the maps Killhouse, Broadcast, Creek, and Chinatown, is not included, and is available for $14.99.
Many fans have been furious with Activision with the decision to wait so long to release it standalone because it’s arguably one of the more popular Call of Duty titles and some gamers weren’t spending $80.00 for just to play the remaster.
