Capcom confirms the next Resident Evil is in development

Capcom held its digital presentation for the Summer, including news and updates on upcoming games from the publisher. During the showcase, Capcom confirmed a new Resident Evil game is in development and is being directed by Koshi Nakanishi who also led Resident Evil 7.

“It was really difficult to figure out what to do after 7. But I found it, and to be honest it feels substantial. I can’t share any details just yet, but I hope you’re excited for the day I can.”

It has been reported that a new Resident Evil game has been in development and it was initially rumored to release in early 2025. There were also reports about even more remakes coming in the future of Resident Evil 0 & Code Veronica, but Capcom has not confirmed that as of yet.

During Capcom Next it was announced Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster will release digitally this September 19 with a physical release coming in November.
