CD Projekt Red Shares Release For The Witcher IV Isn’t Until After 2026

Despite the rough release for CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077, the game has now shaped into a tentpole example for doing the right thing for suffering titles. Looking back, the Polish developer tells that the release was “just a warm up” for what is next to come. Previously, CD Projekt Red confirmed planning for Project Orion is already underway.

Additionally, it also shared that production for The Witcher 4 has already begun also. In December, CD Projekt Red issued the first trailer for the new trilogy revealing Ciri as the new protagonist for the mainline series. For both IPs, the game studio also did announce elsewhere that any form of microtransactions will be absent in its titles.

Now recently, CD Projekt Red held its earnings call with investors speaking on plans for its projects moving forward. In the Q&A portion of the web call, the developer shared that plans for release looks to be after calendar year 2026. You can watch the segment of the call in the video below:

“I can take the third question regarding the expected release date for TW4 – we are not going to announce a precise launch date for the game yet; all we could share for now to give more visibility to investors is that the game will not be launched within the timeframe of the first target of the incentive program which ends on 31 December 2026,” Piotr Nielubowicz, CD Projekt Red CFO elaborated.

Other plans that CD Projekt Red did elaborate during the presentation was on a new collaboration with Scopely which is to explore a new project on one of its IPs. You can read the full report by heading here.
