Among the likes of Capcom with its trend of remaking its beloved, hallmark releases, Konami is in that same vein as well now. Most recently, it was revealed that Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is coming to Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. However, that is not the only game on the way. Additionally, Silent Hill 2 is also prepping a remake release as well.
Back in May, developer Bloober Team revealed that the Silent Hill 2 remake is coming later this year just in time for the Halloween season in October. As for the Polish game studio, Bloober Team is branching beyond horror after this Konami collaboration. In one report, it was revealed that the firm is breaking from its comfort entering new genres for new projects.
In one exchange online in August, Bloober Team creative director Mateusz Lenart on X revealed new information on the approaching release for Silent Hill 2. In that, the remake is said to be roughly “16-18 hours” in duration – that’s longer than the original 2001 release.
“If you like to spent your time searching for everything that we put into the game and things we’ve hidden for you, it will take you more than 20h for sure,” Lenart pressed in a separate response of his original post. “I’m not counting the new game plus and all endings of course. I’m curious how fast will you get all of them.”
Noted, Silent Hill 2 is just one of the plenty big releases coming in October 2024. Alongside Bloober Team, other projects are prepared to release including Life is Strange: Double Exposure, Sonic x Shadow Generations, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, and Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero.
