It was last year in 2019 that developer DICE would reinvigorate the current ongoing game Star Wars: Battlefront II with the titular Complete Edition which would include all of the purchasable downloadable content and in-game items in the game. Either through purchasing the client entirely for $39.99, or if you already own the game will discount the install by 50%.

Among the new version of the game that was approaching at the time, DICE also disclosed some new information regarding the upcoming Heroes that will be arriving in January 2020, BB-8 and BB-9E. However, the team this week has revealed that the newest additions will instead by releasing later on in the coming week.

Sharing that due to last minute decisions in the character’s check up, they decided to hold off to resolve the ‘crucial issue’ plaguing the new playable characters.

During our testing we found a critical issue that means we will be pushing the update to early next week. We already have a new build going through its regular pre-release checks and things are looking positive.

Originally, the duo of droids were planned to release on January 30 this past Thursday, but now have been inched ahead to next week. In the meantime as you wait the extra week, DICE has just released a full showcase regarding the abilities and capabilities of both mechanical characters. Atop of that, we also have some exciting news following their debut later in February as well.

Firstly, the studio previews a complete overview of BB-8 sharing that he is a well-equipped support character as he will be able to capture command posts faster than other heroes. Due to his nimble size, he also moves faster in action too. Additionally, he has a Rolling Charge to speed up faster and deal damage to enemies. He is also given an Shock Prod to zap foes in front of him on the battle front. And if that is unavailable, his tri tow-cabled Cable Spin will damage enemies greater than before. His assisting Resistance Backing will also mark enemies and scramble opposing radar too.

Complementing the droid is BB-9E, while primarily equipped with the Shock Prod also is then provided with a Smoke Screen which will transmit nearby enemies. His assisting Charge Up mode will emit a charge to friendly weapons to put their firearms into success mode. To make things even more dangerous, his Shock Spin will cast a electric pulse which will inflict high damage on nearby foes.

So what is coming to Battlefront II after the droids debut? The fan-favorite map Scarif have been announced to be coming in the Age of Rebellion Update later next month. Simultaneously, Capital Supremacy has be revealed to debut for all Original Trilogy maps in the same update also.
