Electronic Arts, NFL Extend Its Madden Deal Into 2030 For Its Football Titles

The reach of EA Sports has remained one of the largest sports simulator empires spanning decades at this point. And 2025 is no different either. This year thus far, we’ve seen the release of nearly a handful titles alone – EA Sports FC 26, EA Sports NHL 26, EA Sports College Football 26, and EA Sports Madden 26. That is considering that other titles are on the way like the hinting towards College Basketball earlier in the year. 

As for the current games, its pinnacle franchises are football & soccer. Even Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson expressed this when addressing how the publisher will support Nintendo Switch 2 as a platform. And looking forward, Electronic Arts appears to be adamant on further delivering this emphasis as it has struck an extension to its deal with the National Football League.

In a recent press release, both EA & the NFL have now extended its multi-year partnership to deliver Madden NFL titles into 2030. “Under the partnership, EA SPORTS and the NFL will continue to drive innovation and expansion of the celebrated Madden NFL franchise, which will continue as the exclusive action simulation game for NFL football,” the press release reads.

EA Sports president Cam Weber says: “EA SPORTS and the NFL have built one of the most iconic partnerships in all of sports and entertainment, and we see so much opportunity ahead to deliver for football fans everywhere. […] Together with the NFL, we will continue to shape the interactive future of football – expanding Madden NFL, growing College Football, and creating new breakthrough experiences for the next generation of fans.”

Also, NFL executive vice president Renie Anderson added: “Madden NFL has become one of the most widely recognized and culturally relevant gaming franchises in the world. As we look to this new chapter in our partnership with EA SPORTS, our focus remains on the success of NFL simulation gameplay and providing our fans with the best entertainment and experiences around the sport they love.”
