Leading up to the game’s official reveal, fans have been praying that the alleged rumors would be true of a remake for the follow-up title to 2019’s Resident Evil 2 Remake. While there was no confirming statement from Capcom that the game was in fact in active development, there were images that prematurely slated confidence for the game’s upcoming reveal.

Shortly after in December of last year, Capcom finally peeled off the lid of this supposed project by confirming the game’s development and disclosing that the Resident Evil 3 Remake will be arriving in just short of four months, which surprised many people speculating a release later in 2020. Regardless, this piled on to the excitement as fans also discovered that the previously announced Resident Evil Resistance will be bundled with the approaching remake if purchased ahead of the launch date.

Now this week, the listing for Resident Evil 3 has surfaced on the Xbox Store and reveals the official download requirement for the April-scheduled title. Reading the ‘approximate size’ listing for the game reveals that the full game will be 43.01 GB. Additionally, with those who pick up the game to also receive the online-focused survival title will have to download the game separately, which racks up an extra 20.47 GB.

So in total, players who plan to indulge in both titles when launching simultaneously will have to free up roughly 64 GB in order to download the duo later this Spring. Surprisingly, the file size for Resident Evil 3 proves to be a large burden on fans of the predecessor as Resident Evil 2 only required 22 GB, while the follow-up is asking for virtually double the download space.

However, at least Resistance does show to be the lighter of the two as it ranks even lower than the February-launched title which is the light side of this new discovery. Ultimately, players will now have the time to map out what game they will have to remove in order to prepare for the 60+ GB download this coming April.

Are you planning on pre-ordering Resident Evil 3?

Resident Evil 3 Remake will launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on April 3, 2020; Resident Evil Resistance will arrive the same day for the aforesaid platforms.
