Forge Map Review: Hot Pursuit

With the addition of Infection to Halo 5 the custom game and Forge opportunities have been tripled. Previously if you wanted to play an Infection based gamemode you would have to use the Halo 2 honor rule system, which would get really tedious really fast.
Forger XKILLATERALDMGX brought the fan favorite Hot Pursuit to Halo 5, while the maps stay true to the originals in terms of how the maps are laid out, they also have aesthetics to the maps that make the originals seem they’re made of Lego. So far KILL has two Hot Pursuit maps, which are both original and play very well. Both maps also have their own uses for Timmy theWhale, you’ll understand what I’m talking about when you play the maps for yourself.
Gameplay: As the “robber” you’ll want to avoiddirect contact with the police, if struck by a warthog your mongoose will flip off the edge of the map, unless you’re lucky. The goal of the robber is to stay alive until the timer runs out, if you do so successfully then you will have escaped the cops and won the round. The objective for the police is obvious, run the criminals off the edge, convert them to police, because you know logic, and don’t stop until all the criminal scum have been arrested. At the start of each round there will be a few police to start off the round while everyone else is a criminal trying to get away with whatever crime they committed.
Detail: KILL put a lot of effort and time with making the map look so aesthetically pleasing, on the Bay variation of Hot Pursuit there are whales swimming around in the water. Kill added a toll tower next to a rising bridge to add a more natural city feel to the map. The nature that is placed on the maps are fantastic, each map fits their own roles, Bay being a bright and beautiful map while Glacier is a more dark and horrific styled compared to Bay. Glacier is a more frozen and snowy looking map, it even includes a whale frozen in a wall, lets just say he’s the lucky of the 3 whales.
Kill did a great job with both the maps and the gamemode, the maps play just like previous titles versions of Hot Pursuit. Previous maps from Reach and 4 made it hard to play with few people, but Kill’s version can be played with 2-16 players and feels great no matter how many people are in the lobby.
