kiki wolfkill leaving microsoft

Earlier this week, Kiki Wolfkill announced she has left Microsoft after 28 years of working for the company. Wolfkill has been widely known as an Executive Producer at 343 Industries, being part of the Halo 4 development team. Later, she became the studio’s head of Halo Transmedia and Entertainment.

On LinkedIn, Kiki Wolfkill made a post reflecting on her time at Microsoft.

“After 28 years, I’ve made the difficult but exhilarating decision to leave Microsoft! Friday was my last day at a place where I grew up and learned so many invaluable lessons – how to listen, lead, be accountable, and most importantly, to care deeply for who you serve – your team and your audience. I’m so grateful for the opportunities that Microsoft has given me and the career that it let me build in an industry that I love.”

The last piece of work Wolfkill was known for at Microsoft and in Halo was the Halo TV Series on Paramount+.  She served the role of Executive Producer on the series and then became the overall Head of Xbox Film & TV at Microsoft.

Kiki Wolfkill was part of the first leadership group at 343 Industries after Bungie left Microsoft with the Halo IP. The early leadership group at the time consisted of Frank O’Connor, Josh Holmes, and Bonnie Ross.
