One of my most favorite games has to be Garry’s Mod, a heavily modified version of the Half Life engine. Garry’s Mod also known as GMod brings a variety of gamemodes, like Trouble in Terrorist Town and PropHunt, both of which have been remade into previous Halo games by the Forge community. Halo 5 Forger FlashPlayer911 remade a classic GMod gamemode DeathRun into Halo 5, by using scripting and the variety of props and unique tools Halo 5 brought Flash was able to make the map feel like a good DeathRun map.
Personal Opinion and Play Through: I know that when I first launched the map in a custom game lobby with my friends for the first time they already understood what to do, there isn’t much anything you need to know and how to play the map, most players will get it right away. After our first play through my friends said they loved the map (and still do), even though we didn’t have many people in the lobby we still got through most of the map and by the time we got a few more players in the game we beat the map and killed Death! We quickly learned some tricks that we can pull to school the Death into setting off the trap too early or too late, allowing the remaining Runners a safe passage to the next trap. Overall I would 100% encourage readers who have a copy of Halo 5 to download the map and gametype from the links below and test it out with friends, you will enjoy it.
Screenshot-Original (9)Gameplay: At the start of the round one player will be randomly selected to be Death (It is Infection after all). While Death is at the side of the map over seeing the traps to know when to activate which traps when the remaining players will be the runners, their goal being to trick the Death by juking them when running by a trap. When a runner dies they will become what I like to call a “Child Death” because they are spawned underneath the hallway the Death is provided and cannot activate any traps, they are there simply to watch their once brothers and sisters fail. The map can be played with a few players however it is extremely recommended that you play with a minimum of 8 players, that way someone can actually win.

Detail: The art style and attention to detail and easScreenshot-Original (11)ter eggs on this map is fantastic, my first few play throughs had me laughing with what was hidden on the map. From the hidden Grunt Realm to Timmy’s surprise-> the enjoyment you’ll get while playing with friends is endless. Flash does a good job in not only making the map work but making both the runners and the deaths laugh. Overall FlashPlayer’s DeathRun map is great and everyone will enjoy it. I can’t wait for more maps to be made by the community!

Writers Note: Hi my name is Luke aka Court and I am a new (ish) member to Rectify Gaming, around a month ago I joined this awesome community to write Forge Reviews and news if needed. However I have not been as active as I should have been due to Personal issues which have been dealt with. I would like to announce that I will be putting out more reviews as I can and when I can. I would like to thank everyone in the Rectify Gaming community for their support and being so kind in welcoming me into this community, it is honestly one of the friendliest communities I have ever been apart of. I especially would like to thank TyBoy17, Ward-47, Darth Quackers and Wh1plash96 for showing me this fantastic community.
