Microsoft and 343 Industries plan to release a feature length film of the Halo Channel exclusive ‘Halo Nightfall’ where all five episodes aired late last year after the launch of ‘Halo: The Master Chief Collection’. The film will be released on March 17th 2015 as a merger of all five episodes onto multiple video-on-demand services, Blu-ray and DVD. It will also be available to rent or buy if certain services allow it, similar to how ‘Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn’ was distributed.

‘Halo Nightfall’ is set between the events of Halo 4 and Halo 5: Guardians and tells the story of Agent Locke, one of Halo 5 Guardians’ leading protagonists. The series was created by 343 Industries, Nancy Tellem’s ‘Xbox Entertainment Studios’ and Ridley Scott’s ‘Scott Free Productions’. It was directed by Sergio Mimica Gezzan. A live-action Halo Television Series plans to air alongside the launch of ‘Halo 5: Guardians’ later this year.
