Heartopia All events

Discover everything you need to know about all events in Heartopia, including how to unlock them while progressing.

Events in Heartopia are unlocked automatically when you reach certain Developer’s Guild levels. Completing Events gives you useful rewards such as gold, crafting materials, gacha pods, and hobby progress contribution. These help you level up faster and obtain better gear/resources.

Group goals give bigger rewards if multiple players succeed together. You can join others’ hosted Events for free instead of paying to host yourself. Seasonal or special time‑limited Events often offer exclusive rewards and may require specific passes.

What are Events in Heartopia

Gardening

Events in Heartopia are short, social mini-games that give rewards like coins, resources, and hobby progress. Participating in these events requires you reach the specific DG level.

The More DG levels your character has, the more events become accessible to you. Sea Fishing, the Bubble Machine Challenge, and the Yellow Duck Jump Puzzle are the level 7 events.

Bait the Insects and Nest of Hundreds are the DG level 8 events that grant unique bonuses and rewards upon completion. Tea Party Puzzle, Hosting vs. Joining, and Town Events are some extra events you can take part in.

All Events in Heartopia

Once you reach Developer’s Guild Level 7, you unlock the first group of Events. These are considered the “core” events and don’t require hobbies to be unlocked. At D.G. Level 8, you gain access to more Events, but you must unlock the associated hobby first.

These hobby requirements mean you’ll need to level those hobbies by doing the hobby activities. Below are all the events in Heartopia that you can participate in to gain rewards.

  • Bait the Insects: Catch Insects in the designated location.
  • Bubble Machine Challenge: Pop as many bubbles as possible at Purple Light Beech.
  • Nest of Hundreds: Take multiple photos of birds in the designated area.
  • Tea Party Puzzle: Complete the puzzles
  • Sea Fishing: Talk to Bill at the Fishing Village boats. Catch as many fish as you can before the timer runs out.
  • Yellow Duck Jump Puzzle: An obstacle mini-game at Purple Light Beach with varying routes.

How To Complete the Bait the Insect Event

bait the insect event

Start at Onsen Mountain near the insect baiting device, then continue at Crater Lake. Make sure to have Developer’s Guild Level 8 and the Insect Catching hobby unlocked to trigger this event. You can unlock this hobby by progressing through the insect-catching system and talking to the Naniwa.

Onsen Mountain (Phase 1) and Crater Lake (Phase 2) are the two timed insect-catching phases in the Bait the Insect event. The goal in phase 1 is to catch as many insects as possible within three minutes. After Phase 1, you get about 1 minute to travel to Crater Lake. Then you have another 3 minutes to keep catching insects in the whole new area.

Make sure to catch at least 10 insects across both phases. You need to equip a Bug Net to catch the insects in Heartopia. Approach slowly so insects don’t flee. Use ranged bubble shots if available to hit insects from a short range.

Insects like Apollo or Postman Butterfly can appear during this Event. Chestnut Tiger and Crimson Marsh Glider can also be found during the event area spawns. I highly recommend eating buff food before the Event to boost stamina or catching speed.

How To Complete Bubble Machine Challenge

bubble machine challenge

The Bubble Machine Challenge takes place at Purple Light Beach in Heartopia. Make sure to reach Developer’s Guild Level 7 to unlock this Event. Talk to the Beach Surfer NPC at Purple Light Beach to begin the challenge. You need to pay 2000 Coins to Beach Surfer for the first round of the week.

You get inside the big inflatable area full of floating bubbles. The objective for you here is to pop as many bubbles as possible before the timer runs out. Red bubbles are the highest priority, and they disappear quickly, so pop them first. After that, I recommend you pop orange and green bubbles.

Pop enough bubbles to reach 6 points to complete your own objective. However, the group goal is usually around 30 points total for all players in the Event to complete the group objective. If other players are already in the Event, joining them can help reach group goals faster.

How To Complete Nest of Hundreds

nest of hundreds event

Reach the Developer’s Guild Level 8 to unlock the Nest of Hundreds event in Heartopia. You also need to unlock the Bird Watching hobby from Bailey J. near the pet shop. The event took place in an eastern fishing village, near the fountain or the central village area.

Once the event begins, use your binoculars to spot rare birds that appear in the event area. Take a photo of them to earn star points. You can click the same bird more than once for additional stars if it stays in view. Birds doing unique actions or chirping grant more star points.

Earn 30 star points to complete your personal goal. Reach 150 star points total with all players in the Event for the group goal. The star point indicates how well you spot and photograph birds. Keep in mind that birds can disappear or fly away if you move too close too fast.

You need to find a balance between being close enough to get a shot and not startling them. Some rarer birds, like macaws or peafowl, spawn in the event area. Taking photos of them allows you to gain more points. Equip and aim your scanner or camera carefully for precise photos. Building this hobby outside of Events helps you recognize bird behaviors.

How To Complete the Sea Fishing Event

sea fishing event

Go to the Fishing Village docks and talk to Bill to initiate the Sea Fishing Event. Sea Fishing in Heartopia unlocks once you reach Developer’s Guild Level 7. Players are split into two fishing boats that sail out into deeper water when you begin. You have a timer to catch as many fish as possible before it ends. To complete your personal goal, you need to catch at least five fish.

fishing hobby

The group goal is around 20-30 total catches, and reaching this goal rewards better outcomes like Surprise Gacha Pods. Keep an eye out for fish shadows or ripples in the water because these signal nearby fish spots you can target quickly.

Once the timer starts, repeatedly cast and reel in fish. Sea Fishing events work better with multiple players. More hands fishing means the group target is reached sooner to gain better rewards.

How To Complete the Yellow Duck Jump Puzzle

yellow duck jump puzzle

Speak with Harry near the duck to start this event in Heartopia. Just like the Sea Fishing and Bubble Machine Challenge, this event also requires Developer’s Guild Level 7. The Yellow Duck Jump event takes place in Purple Light Beach, near the giant rubber yellow duck structure. You’ll face a vertical parkour‑style obstacle course built around the giant duck.

The objective for you here is to jump and climb through the course to reach the top, avoiding falls and timing your jumps right. The green path is the easier route if you’re newer to the challenge. The pink path is harder with challenging jumps and tighter timing.

Complete 2 routes during the event to complete the personal goal. Players must complete 8 total routes to finish the group objective. Interact with buttons in the center of the arena to temporarily create platforms. Timing your jumps is key because this puzzle relies on precise jumping timing.

How To Complete the Tea Party Puzzle

tea party puzzle

The Tea Party Puzzle in Heartopia isn’t a competitive or timed challenge like the Sea Fishing event. It’s a social, relaxing event hosted at a player’s home where you can invite others, hang out, and solve small puzzles. It counts as an Event in the game but has no set personal or group goals to finish.

You can host a tea party at any home you own, and it does not require a specific Event NPC or town location. Find the Tea Party puzzle or Event option in your home menu and start the party session. You can invite friends or other players to join your party, but it’s not required to complete the Tea Party Event.

Starting the Tea Party and entering the preparations phase can count for quests or event progress in some cases.

Hi, I’m Ali. I started gaming with Max Payne, and it set the tone for my interest in darker, more immersive experiences. I mostly play soulslikes, RPGs, and FPS titles that focus on tight mechanics and pacing.

I have a strong appreciation for game soundtracks and how they shape the overall experience. I’m also a long-time horror fan, across both games and films, with a preference for atmosphere-driven storytelling. This space reflects that passion, exploring games through both their mechanics and the atmosphere they create.
