Publisher Koei Tecmo has certainly partnered up comfortably with Nintendo in recent time. Just today, it announced a few projects that will be coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch 2. One is the upcoming release for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment. Additionally, The Pokémon Company unveiled Pokémon Pokopia coming sometime in 2026.

Another paved release for the Nintendo Switch 2 will be Dynasty Warriors: Origins. With the paved release set for January, Koei Tecmo also confirmed that same date also disperses a new DLC for the core game as well. As for other Koei Tecmo releases on Nintendo Switch, it did ship Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water – a remake of the original 2014 release.

Now during the Nintendo Direct presentation once more, Koei Tecmo reveals its next release coming to Nintendo Switch 2 alongside other major platforms with Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly. You can watch the reveal trailer in the video below:

“Twin sisters Mio and Mayu Amakura find themselves lost in a village that has vanished from the map in this revival of the Japanese horror adventure. Featuring chilling effects and atmosphere, players will control Mio, the younger twin sister, who can feel the presence of spirits. Pacify ghosts with the Camera Obscura and explore abandoned buildings shrouded in darkness, with remade exploration and combat elements,” the Nintendo press release shares.

“Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly remake will feature a complete overhaul of the original game, including graphics and audio enhancements, as well as improvements to core gameplay systems and controls. The Camera Obscura, a key mechanism in the series, will offer fans a richer and more captivating gameplay experience both during exploration and combat,” an additional press release from Koei Tecmo reads.
