As many avid Nintendo fans are aware, a new Nintendo Direct presentation has been slated for Wednesday, February 8th. As for the context surrounding what announcements will be made, context is left blank for fans to full soak in the reveal then. However, actions online from Nintendo themselves has pointed towards what could potentially be at the online show.
For one, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has been listed briefly on Amazon before being pulled. It is suspected that the new game will launch pre-orders for the game. Potentially even revealing the new Nintendo Switch OLED model as well during the presentation. Additionally, similar actions were made for Metroid Prime 4 which raises suspicions as well.
Now on Twitter, user @_snoopytech_ has issued new information for what is likely to be announced at the Wednesday show. In that, a new Samba de Amigo game dubbed ‘Party Central’ was shared with images including screenshots and the official box art for Nintendo Switch as well. You can view the thread below:
From the description provided in the post: “Samba de Amigo: Party Central marks the return of the rhythm action series with a playlist that will get you and your friends moving thanks to 40 hits from the world’s most popular genres including EDM, pop, Latin, and more. Plus, with a wide variety of mini-games and challenges to enjoy; a ton of unique costumes and accessories to unlock and wear; and new online features – including an 8-player World Party mode, there’s plenty of fuel to ignite the party!”
This is not the first instance that Nintendo has collaborated with Sega. Despite being hardened competitors two decades ago, Nintendo Switch Online featured the beloved Sega Genesis via its + Expansion Pack perk in the past offering the legacy console a virtual library feature.
