While the initial release of Dontnod Entertainment’s Life is Strange left a definite impact on the video game industry back in 2015, the series is set to return once more through a remastered bundle for the newest console out. That including Nintendo Switch, those that have yet to experience the tale at Arcadia Bay can finally do so – soon at least.
Previously, that game was set to release earlier in September alongside Life is Strange: True Colors. However, developer Dontnod Entertainment decided to push the project until 2022 in an abrupt decision. Additionally, the choice for more development time also included a prolonged wait time for Life is Strange: True Colors on Nintendo Switch as well.
Recent, publisher Square Enix announced that Life is Strange Remastered Collection is to officially arrive this coming February. Those unfamiliar, the package is to include episodes 1 – 5 for the original game alongside three installments for the later prequel, Life is Strange: Before the Storm.
Although the team over in France decided to prolong the release for Life is Strange Remastered Collection, some wish the same energy was there for Life is Strange: True Colors to some extent. That is based on a recent discovery from developer Deck Nine Games that confirmed intentions to release the project with only a 30 frames per second refresh rate – even for the newest Xbox & PlayStation systems.
In other Life is Strange news, there is an update on the continuously developing TV show. Announced close to half a decade back now, Variety this month reported that the production under Legendary is to enlist music artist Shawn Mendes and Anonymous Content to produce.
