Mario Kart 8 Deluxe looks to be getting 5 new characters in the future

The latest DLC Wave for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has release which includes eight new tracks and a new character for the first time being Birdo. Once Wave 4 arrived last night, five new spots were added to the lineup when choosing your racer.

There has been a lot of talk about Mario Kart 8 Deluxe potentially getting new characters since Nintendo has been adding lots of tracks to the game. It looks like in the next waves to come we’ll see new Mario Kart racers added to the game. Will they be third party or first party characters? We will have to wait and see.
