The Pokémon Company announced updates coming to Pokémon UNITE to celebrate its 2nd Anniversary. Since its launch in 2021, Pokémon UNITE surpassed 100 million downloads worldwide and 56 playable Pokémon have joined the fray. To celebrate two years, a brand-new type of battle and iconic Pokémon are now available in-game.

Mewtwo is now available in Pokémon UNITE. Mewtwo can Mega Evolve into Mega Mewtwo X during battle and can use its attacks in quick succession to attack relentlessly. You can get a Unite license for Mega Mewtwo X for no cost in the Mewtwo’s Crystal Cave Challenge. The Unite license for Mega Mewtwo Y will become available in August.
The new type of battle to join Pokémon UNITE is different from the standard 5-on-5 battle format. Panic Parade forces players to work together to protect Tinkaton from ongoing attacks from panicking Pokémon.
Here are the event periods:
First event: Friday, 21 July, at 1:00 a.m. BST to Tuesday, 1 August, at 12:59 a.m. BST
