Back in April, Monolith announced that they will be removing microtransactions from their latest Middle-Earth title Shadow of War. Giving players a few months to spend whatever in-game gold they purchased before making it unusable.
And now the time has come with a new update removing all microtransactions from the game. In a blog post by Playstation Blog, studio Creative Vice President Michael de Plater regarding the community’s voice, stating that:
the Flaming Eye pointed directly at our fantastic community, and we’ve been continually watching, reading and listening to your comments, criticisms and recommendations.
Along with the update for the game, it also introduced more content to be added for free. Updating the post-campaign Shadow Wars, rewarding you with the masks of Nazgûl which will introduce new powers to you. Along with expanding the level cap to 80 now.
Legendary orcs was also another addition with the new update, which will help players who still haven’t reach the post-campaign yet, With XP rewards available with several in-game activities, players will be able to progress faster with the new level buff. And go for the new Prestige upgrades to unlock after Act III.
The update is live now on Shadow of War for Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC.
