
Animated shows are one thing on Netflix, but video game animated shows are even better. And 2022 is shaping up to be an exciting time for this specific category. Early this year, Netflix shared Season 2 for The Cuphead Show is slated to release this summer. Additionally, Tekken: Bloodlines is also aimed to ship this year.
Elsewhere, we got our first glimpse of Sonic Prime: a new 3D animated television show which is probably the closest to replicating the franchise in this medium. But, there is still more aimed for this fall. In that, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is also paved to ship in September from Kill La Kill team Studio Trigger later this autumn.
On Friday at the Netflix-hosted Geek Week, the firm reveals a new animated show Dragon Age: Absolution. You can watch the reveal trailer in the video below:
“About Dragon Age: Absolution – Set in Tevinter, an empire within the Dragon Age universe; Created in collaboration with BioWare, creators of the Dragon Age video game franchise (winner of over 130+ Game of the Year awards); Features an ensemble of new characters inspired by, and authentic to, Dragon Age lore; including elves, mages, knights, Qunari, Red Templars, demons, and other special surprises,” the video’s description shares.
Earlier in May, developer BioWare also pressed on the latest Dragon Age title on the way. While little detail was spared giving details in the direction the franchise is heading, the new game will be titled Dragon Age: Dreadwolf’. You can read the full report by heading here.
