For Netflix’s ongoing pursuit for the video game industry, it is making no mistake in holding a presence within the market. The most surprising move comes from its acquisition of Night School Games: the team responsible for Oxenfree & Afterparty is now a first-party developer for Netflix. Additionally, the team went on to buy Next Games (Stranger Things: Puzzle Tales).
Not to mention the firm’s established game section on its platform. For no additional cost users can entertain themselves with a selection of titles ranging from an assortment of mobile experiences for now. But, the firm speaking with The New York Times also revealed a trivia project ‘Trivia Quest’ is on the way in April as well.
This week Netflix unveiled its newest lineup coming to the platform with a total of three new games slated to release for the remainder of March 2022. Those titles are:
Into The Dead 2: Unleashed – Coming Soon
Shatter Remastered – 3/22
This Is A True Story – 3/22
“Whether you’re craving a casual game to jump right into the fun, or an immersive experience that lets you dig deeper into your favorite stories, there are a variety of mobile games for you to explore and plenty more to come this month, including This Is A True Story (Frosty Pop), Shatter Remastered (PikPok), and Into The Dead 2: Unleashed (PikPok),” the press release reads.
The release also expands on the new reach for Netflix Games. Originally unique to the Android version for the Netflix app is now also out for iOS users as well. “Netflix Games are now available on Android and iOS devices. All you need is a Netflix subscription – there’s no ads, fees, or in-app purchases.”
