
While people say that 2020 gives off the effect of prolonging time more than it really is, it is still baffling to realize that Ninja Theory’s Bleeding Edge shipped almost a year ago. Coming this March, the online melee-only title will turn one year-old, but, there is not much to celebrate. Instead, it is discovered that Bleeding Edge will in fact be ceasing future content as focus is being pivoted to other initiatives.
In a tweet posted on the Bleeding Edge official Twitter page, Ninja Theory issues that Bleeding Edge is getting overshadowed by other projects in production and coming additions for the title is no longer in development.
“With the studio now focusing on our new projects (Senua’s Saga, Project Mara & The Insight Project) we have decided that there will be no further content updates for Bleeding Edge,” the tweet reveals.
Although new add-ons for the game are not planned to make waves leading forward, Ninja Theory does go on to clarify that Bleeding Edge is still playable on both console and PC. And given that the title is cross-play compatible, players no matter the hardware can still drop in and enjoy the game following the recent statement.
Elsewhere in regards to Ninja Theory initiatives as of late, the developer in its latest Dreadnought Diaries discloses some enticing details on Project: Mara.
