Although fans of the series can take on the newest installment of the Mortal Kombat franchise thanks to last year’s Mortal Kombat 11, veteran players of the original cabinet games are also in for a treat according to a new listing found on the Pan European Game Information (PEGI) board. Titled Mortal Kombat Kollection Online, the listing reads to offer the first three titles of the series for modern hardware.

However, upon early reportings of the game’s presence, the listing has been swiftly removed. Thankfully, a screenshot of the listing has been archived which you can view in the image below:%

“Mortal Kombat Kollection Online is the original Mortal Kombat trilogy that Mortal Kombat fans always wanted. Upgraded art, gameplay, and online features provide an incredible experience that revive the ‘klassics’…,” the listing reads from the now-deleted discovery.

Suggested from the online alias given in the title, it is suspected that this game alike the previous Mortal Kombat Kollection that released in 2011 would include online matchmaking upon other online interactive features. But for the time being, there is little details to expand on the game’s status or what makes this iteration any different from last generations.

Previously, it was said that the title was in development by Blind Squirrel Games last year, but was ultimately shelved due to unsaid reasons. Now thanks to this new list surfacing on the PEGI ratings board, this does imply that the game has reentered active development.

While you’re waiting, make sure you check out our review for Mortal kombat 11 by heading here. Rectify Gaming’s David Rodriguez tells the latest Mortal Kombat entry to be “a superb fighting game that’s sure to please veterans and newcomers alike.”

What system would you pick this game up if it does hit store shelves?

Mortal Kombat Kollection Online has no set launch date or listed platforms.
