Fans of the classic 1999 Nintendo 64 title Pokémon Snap are sure to be ecstatic to learn that Nintendo is underway with a new title for the beloved game. Developed by Bandai Namco, this new installment shapes to be a complete remake of the original title game with grander visuals, intuitive controls, and newer Pokémon to capture with your Photodex.

Announcing ‘New Pokémon Snap’, fans of the first game should already be aware of the basis for the coming game. Explore habitats unique to respected Pokémon, research your findings, and capture their behaviors when on the field.

Travel to unknown islands with beautiful scenery like lush jungles and sandy beaches. The Pokémon pictures you take there will be used to build your very own Pokémon Photodex!

Photograph lively wild Pokémon in their natural habitats as you research and explore unknown islands. Journey through a variety of environments such as beaches and jungles to capture previously-unseen Pokémon behaviors. The photos you take can also be used to fill out your very own Pokémon Photodex!

The game most excitingly will incorporate newer additions to the series since the 1999 installment is frozen up to Generation 2 at the time. Now, New Pokémon Snap will include Pokémon of all current generations including the most recent entries of Pokémon Sword & Pokémon Shield.

As of reporting, there is little details as for what else the game expands from the original game aside from the most apparent details showcased in the announcement trailer. Nintendo did not disclose if the title will integrate exclusive Nintendo Switch features to the game including HD Rumble, IR Camera, or Gyro Controls. One speculated guess could be VR support for New Pokémon Snap also, but with the game being curated by a third-party studio, that might not be a likely candidate for the implemented feature.
