A recently discovered patent of Nintendo from  Neogaf  details a game system that will apparently lack a disk-drive.  Whether it has something to do with codename NX or not, it still remains to be unknown.

Nintendo filed its applicant with the United States Patent and Trademark Office back in February 2015 and was recently published on August 20th, and you can view it here.

As seen in this image, it appears to have no optical disk drive, compatible with a memory card unit that has two basic programming features, and a wireless controller unit.  Not much is known about this patent, but it is possible it could be a remodeled Wii U that doesn’t play physical disk, or the way codename NX, which we will learn more about February 2016, could be designed.  If you have any thoughts on this, let us know in the comments below.
