Apex Legends ‘Power Trip Event’ Revamps Wild Card, Injects More Titanfall Abilities

The start of this year regarding Apex Legends has remained to be the most exciting of what is to come. That is due to the fact that Respawn Entertainment offers a full year+ road map for the live-service. The first thing to follow that in terms of content was the ‘Gundam’ Event which infused the popular Japanese series with Apex Legends.

Later on in April, players were then greeted with the ‘Aftershock’ Event that further established new changes to the battle royale. New ‘Elite Hemlock’ was introduced alongside meta changes for Gibraltar, Wraith, and Wattson. It was not long before the next content season came, Season 29 – Overclocked. The new addition welcomed Legend Axle which disrupted the current movement meta in the game also.

Now for the first event coming to Apex Legends is ‘Power Trip’. The most anticipated part is the new Wild Cards: one being a fan-favorite from Titanfall now on the horizon for Apex Legends. The Even will span from June 2nd – June 23rd .You can watch the trailer in the video below:

“Wildcard has mutated, bringing new round modifiers that change the rules for every Legend at once. These modifiers can open up the game in wildly different ways. One round you’re wall running through gunfights. Next, every weapon on the map is Mythic. After that, your whole squad shrinks. You’ve got to read the round and react faster than everyone else. Wildcard was always designed as Apex’s most accessible, arcade-style mode, with faster games, and more room to experiment.

“Power Trip pushes that further, creating new ways to compete that we couldn’t bring in to the main game.” The highlighted ability that will be coming in Power Trip is Crouching Camo. As given by its name, players will be able to cloak alike the ability in Titanfall. Atop of that, other modifiers including Small Fry, Explosive, and Blank State will really offer a radically different experience to Wild Card.

Other exciting changes is that all maps will be in rotation every 15 minutes. “To keep Wildcard feeling fresh, the Wildcard map will now rotate between Kings Canyon, Olympus, and Broken Moon every 15 minutes.” Other highlighted things included in Power Trip is the new Ash Prestige skin ‘Apex Ascendant’ which can be obtained by completing the event tracker.
