Nintendo has said they do plan on making more mobile games every year for some of their major ips and well The Wall Street Journal may be onto something.
They are reporting that Nintendo is hard at work on The Legend of Zelda for smartphones and tablets. Link’s adventure will follow Animal Crossing which launches later this year. The Zelda title will arrive in 2018 and it’s not clear whether Nintendo will take the paid route like Super Mario Run or alternatively make the game free-to-play with micro transactions like Fire Emblem Heroes.
It’ll be interesting to see how Nintendo will make a mobile game for Zelda. It could be possible we see it at a direct at some point this year.
