Tatsumi Kimishima, the new president of Nintendo, outlined his plans for 2016. “There is a mission to pull the game industry to Nintendo, I want to always continue to provide a new surprise to the game fan. This is a goal that last forever.” He states that this year he will announce the next generation game dedicated machine “NX.” Kimishima claims the expansion to smartphones and theme parks, but also to movies and TV anime (via character licensing) is progressing. It all seems that Tatsumi is planning on having a good year and future for Nintendo.
The plan is to bring profits to 100 billion yen ($855 million) in “several years”. This would be 4 times of last years profit.
