Just this past winter, the new roadmap for Tomb Raider has been officially revealed. Slated for release this year, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis was announced at The Game Awards offering a new installment in the series. Also from the same showcase, Tomb Raider: Catalyst was also revealed sharing a new remake for the original PlayStation game is aiming to ship in 2027.
Before these games, there were the remastered trilogy for Tomb Raider from Aspyr. Rectify Gaming in our review scored the collection an 8.5/10 score. “Whether you’re a long-time fan reliving nostalgic memories or a newcomer discovering Lara Croft’s adventures for the first time, Tomb Raider I-III Remastered delivers a satisfying blend of classic gameplay and modern enhancements, making it a must-play for any fan of the iconic franchise.”
Now, the same game is coming to more platforms. Both Google Play & App Store alongside Nintendo Switch 2 are all receiving ports in a surprise release today. Additionally, a new ‘Challenge Mode’ for all platforms is live as well. You can watch the new trailer in the video below:
“The new Challenge Mode is a free update that adds bonus content to all platforms including new outfits with upgraded abilities, a level modifier to challenge your skills, and all new achievements to earn. Get the complete experience now (including all expansions and secret levels for all three games).” Aspyr explains in the Steam post on the new update.
This is not the only Tomb Raider title to hit the Nintendo Switch 2 in recent time. Back in November, Crystal Dynamics shipped Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition for the platform too. You can read the full report by heading here.
