Obsidian Entertainment Announced New Fantasy RPG Avowed For Xbox Series X & PC

Currently, developer Obsidian Entertainment’s palette if occupied with the October-released The Outer Worlds and Grounded which is set to release later this month. However, the Xbox Game Studios developer during today’s Xbox Games Showcase took the stage to unveil a new, anticipating project that is currently in development.

Announcing Avowed, the game is a fantasy-set RPG with ambitions to release exclusively o next-generation hardware and PC. You can watch the game’s announcement trailer in the video below:

As for grasping context on the coming, first-person experience, there is not much context surrounding Avowed. The only details derived from the announcement for the title is a brief synopsis sharing “Avowed, Obsidian Entertainment’s next epic, first-person RPG set in the fantasy world of Eora.”

In the presentation, Xbox Game Studios head Matt Booty expands further on Avowed’s back story and the team’s ambitions for the new title. “When Obsidian Entertainment first joined Xbox Game Studios, they told us that this epic game is the one they want to make.

As creators of critically-acclaimed RPGs, this is Obsidian at their best. And it is being built from the ground up to take full advantage of the power of the Xbox Series X.” Now further details on the coming project has been revealed regarding upcoming information or a release date on the new title from Obsidian Entertainment.
