
Rewinding back to June 2020 while the COVID-19 pandemic was continuing to grasp global society, Sony Interactive Entertainment to contain further spread decided to hold a PlayStation 5 showcase then to feature upcoming titles that will be present for the titular next-generation machine. During that, developer Oddworld Occupants revealed the next entry in its ongoing franchise, Oddworld: Soulstorm for PlayStation 5.
That alongside a PC release for the game to follow simultaneously, it was the first seeing the series not arrive to Xbox. However, it was clarified during the title’s announcement that Oddworld: Soulstorm will be unique to PlayStation for at least the first year. Since then, we witnessed the game later arrive to PlayStation 4 with a dedicated version earlier in 2021.
In a new trailer that shipped this week, Oddworld Occupants presents a teaser for an official Xbox version for Oddworld: Soulstorm. You can watch the video below:
“They’ve always known you would come,” the trailer shares as Abe opens his hands with the Xbox Series X|S boot-up chime playing. However, despite this confirming a version is on the way, there is no gameplay presented nor details to elaborate on the teaser. In fact, Oddworld Occupants does not provide even a release window for the game.
Through a similar term of events, Deathloop is also in the same position. While the game is confirmed to ship later on in September this year, the game is not arriving anywhere near Xbox. Instead, it is to arrive later on in 2022 according to a trailer for the game. You can read the full report by heading here.
