Capcom held its annual Winter showcase revealing what is coming from the publisher throughout the rest of the year. They showcased news on Street Fighter 6, Monster Hunter Wilds, and the Onimusha series. Capcom announced that a remaster of Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny is in development.

Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny when it originally released in 2002 became the best-selling entry in the series and garnered acclaim for its flashy gameplay and branching storyline. The remaster of Onimusha 2 will be coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam in 2025.

No other details such as the price and actual release date has not been revealed yet.

In other news, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, announced at The Game Awards, is set to release in 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Capcom did give more details on the all-new entry in the sword-fighting action game series.
