Palworld’s player count takes a jump following the Summer update

Palworld kicked off 2024 being the first biggest release of the year reaching an all-time peak of over 2 million concurrent players on Steam. The game is also available on Xbox which helped the player count rise to over 20 million within a month from its release. Recently, Pocket Pair released a Summer update that brought new content including Pal’s to the game, and that has caused a sudden large jump in the active player count.

Before the Summer update, Palworld dropped to about 14,000 players on Steam. Once the update was released, the number grew by more than 700% and has reached over 120K concurrent players daily. This is according to Steamdb.

Currently, Palworld is only available on Xbox and PC via Steam. There have been teases about the game coming to PlayStation in the future. A port to Nintendo Switch is unlikely as of this moment.

Pocket Pair has announced that over 1.3 Billion hours have been played in Palworld. There has been new content added before the Summer update that included the Pal Arena.
