Today marks the official arrival of Phantasy Star Online 2 for North America. While the game is currently unique to the Xbox One platform as of now, Sega already confirms that will not be long until sometime next month as the Windows 10 version for PC will also later on. While not providing a specific release date, it does confirm that the respected version is not too far away from releasing.
In celebration for the official console debut for the game arriving today, Sega went to reveal that every day until April 27 will offer players with uniquely-timed quests that players can challenge when they log-in. Elsewhere on the game’s official website, Sega confirms that players who simply enter the game starting today until next Thursday will also receive special bonuses for being the first playing Phantasy Star Online 2 at launch.
However, while we are still on the discussion of Phantasy Star Online 2 for PC, mentions of the respected Steam version has yet to be addressed. There is no denying that the port is coming since evidence of its existence was found in the game’s manual earlier on last year. It is presumed that the game will eventually come to Steam sometime later on as it is expected Microsoft has a certain timeframe withholding the game from arriving to other platforms.
The same can also be said for other consoles as well. It was reported back in June that Phantasy Star Online 2 would also be arriving to other platforms following the initial North American release orchestrated by Microsoft. Xbox Head Phil Spencer when speaking with GameSpot stated that “[Phantasy Star Online 2] will end up on all platforms.”
