PlayStation 4 sold 18 million units last year.

We all know that PlayStation 4 has been leading the consoles in most sales. Revealed in Sony’s yearly financial briefing is that Sony’s sales are going up fast which is a good thing for them. Sony sold 17.7 million PS4s between March 2015 and April 2016 which brought up the hardware units sold to 40 million.
It is also worth noting that the Nintendo Wii U has been out longer than the PS4 and  has only sold 12.8 million units. We aren’t too sure about Microsoft’s numbers for the Xbox One but a recent estimate put that number at around 18 million in its lifetime.
