Sony Interactive Entertainment have shared that its PlayStation FlexStrike wireless fight stick is now delayed due to “unexpected production delays.” The other peripherals that went live for pre-orders in June are still expected to release at their planned dates.
The FlexStrike wireless fight stick will launch at a later date. The original release date was planned to be August 6, 2026.
We’re working to ensure we deliver the best possible experience to our players with FlexStrike, so we’re taking extra time to put the finishing touches on the product. We apologize for this delay and look forward to bringing the FlexStrike experience to the community when it launches.
Those who have already pre-ordered the FlexStrike wireless fight stick from direct.playstation.com can check their order status through the website and will receive communications for their orders.
The PlayStation FlexStrike fight stick will cost $199.99 USD when it does release in 2027.
This news comes after Sony announced it will end physical disc production for all games release on its platforms including PS5 and what will come next. Sony has not commented since receiving backlash from the gaming world on this decision.
