D23, the ultimate Disney event that happens every year is set to take place on August 14-16 2026. Part of its plans is to have a Deep Dive into Kingdom Hearts.
The description for the Kingdom Hearts segment of the event is vague but says the following:
DEEP DIVE into KINGDOM HEARTS
Join us for a journey through light and darkness as we commemorate 25 years of KINGDOM HEARTS. Discover how this saga united Disney, Pixar, and Square Enix, with insights from the creative minds, character voices, and more behind the magic.
While fans are hoping for Kingdom Hearts 4 news that could still be unlikely. It seems they will be reflecting on the series as a whole rather than focusing on what’s next for the series.
In June, Square Enix shared a new gameplay trailer for Kingdom Hearts 4 and revealed it would be coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in addition to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
During D23 we have seen video game-related news before, but more related to Fortnite. We’d recommend having low expectations for anything huge to be announced.
