Over the last couple of years, Microsoft has started a new trend by bringing what were known as Xbox console exclusives to its competitors’ platforms. It turned out to be a good move because Forza Horizon 5 is the best-performing PS5 title in 2025.
According to a new job listing at PlayStation, it teases the possibility of bringing PlayStation Studios titles across platforms “beyond PlayStation hardware.”
The job listing is for a Senior Director, Multiplatform & Account Management. The job listing describes the following:
You will play a critical leadership role in shaping and executing the global commercial strategy for PlayStation Studios software titles across all digital platforms beyond PlayStation hardware, including Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox, Nintendo, and mobile.
This was the part of the listing that stood out the most among the other descriptions it shows. It doesn’t tease what PlayStation games could come to Xbox or Switch 2, but we can all have fun guessing for now.
The first major PlayStation 5 console exclusive is making its way to Xbox Series X|S this August, and it’s Helldivers 2. The game had a strong start when it released in 2024, but a lot of it was carried by its PC release.
Sony also released LEGO Horizon Adventures in November 2024 on PS5 and the Switch, which was a first for them, releasing on another console at the same time.
