Looking at the calendar from afar, it comes to be a surprise the closer you get to reading that the societal impact from the COVID-19 pandemic has consumed the globe just about a year ago now. And while things look to be operating at a steady pace, Sony Interactive Entertainment plans to proceed with its prior initiative that kicked off around the same time: Play at Home.

In that, to keep people from going out and about during the crucial moment in the rise of the ailment, Sony Interactive Entertainment offered both Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection & Journey to its users absolutely for free. And now, the program is coming back once again for another issue of free content for PlayStation owners in 2021.

According to a new blog post published on Tuesday, PlayStation 4’s Ratchet & Clank (2016) will be free as soon as next month.

The past 12 months haven’t been easy. And I think we’re all hopeful that we may be starting to see some flickers of light at the end of this long COVID-19 tunnel thanks to the tireless work of the medical community and people around the world.

In these historic times, the team at PlayStation wanted to thank the community by giving something back. These days, we could all use something to look forward to and another reason to stay safely socially distanced, so we are happy to be able to offer a free selection of great games and some entertainment offers.

Jim Ryan, Sony Interactive Entertainment President & CEO

Running from March 1 to March 31 this coming month, Ratchet & Clank (2016) will be available for all users to install if not owned already. Additionally, Sony Interactive Entertainment is also offering “extended access” to new users for Funimation starting March 25.

Sony Interactive Entertainment shares that this is just the start. “In the coming weeks, we’ll share more details on free games and entertainment offers dropping for our PlayStation community,” the post tells.

For those who requires more standing on Ratchet & Clank (2016), we highly suggest you read Rectify Gaming’s review for the game. “Ratchet & Clank is a must-own for PlayStation 4 owners and just shy of what I believe to be true excellence in gaming.” It continues, “whether you are new to this tenacious tag-team, or a series veteran, you will find plenty to love and even more reasons to keep on playing again and again.” You can read the full review by heading here.

Are you planning to indulge on the free Play at Home goodies next month?
