Project Cars was initially expected to launch in March of this year on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and later in the year on Wii U. Today, Slightly Mad Studios have announced the game has been delayed until April 2015. That’s April 2nd in Europe, we haven’t been told about the US date yet. (Update: Project Cars will launch April 7th in the United States). The game was initially supposed to arrive last year but the company stated that they wanted to avoid the “competitive holiday scene dominated by household names”. However, today’s announcement shows this game still isn’t near completion and much work is still to be done.

Studio head Ian Bell said moving the release date wasn’t the easiest thing to do but the extra days allows the team to provide the best game experience that the fans deserve and it will be “well worth the wait”.
